The term migration refers to the movement of people from one area to another, usually on a permanent basis. Migration can be referred to as internal, if it does not involve the crossing of international boundaries. It is referred to as international if it involves the crossing of international boundaries.

The population policy stipulated on issues like the number of offspring a couple is allowed to have, the benefits enjoyed by those who operated within the policy framework and the provision of penalties suffered by those who decide to operate outside the provisions of the national population policy.

There is a relationship between demographic trends and diseases. In most instances if ailments are not handled carefully and timeously, they can degenerate into pandemics resulting in the death of many people within a short period of time.

The study of population is called demography. It is important to understand different aspects of population because population is critical to development and exploitation of resources.

Urban agriculture refers to a form of intensive farming which is practiced in most urban areas on open spaces. The production is done on small farm units and it is usually done by urban dwellers mainly to supplement food stuffs and incomes due to a poorly   performing economy.
