ZIMSEC has extended the 2024 Grade 7, O-level and A-Level June and November Registration Deadline following the requests from Parents, Schools and other stakeholders who argued that the initial deadline was too soon.

The reconstruction of the Rozvi state is not only controversial but like opening a Pandora's box of paradoxes. Confusion by scholars simply do not add up. The Great Zimbabwe State was a Later Iron Age Culture, which flourished between 1100 and 1500 AD. (1000 to 1450). This was and still is a bustling metropolitan state fortified with thick stone walls up the hill cliff down to the valley. The Metropolitan Great Zimbabwe had a population of more than 30,000 people.

Mapungubwe is also known to be the real first Late Iron Age State of the Shona, which preceded Great Zimbabwe. The other state forms were not as elaborate and stately as Mapungubwe. The settlement lies just south of the Limpopo River valley in Venda land today, in today's modern South Africa.
